At SMYFC we have a strong belief that players can develop further if they learn all aspects of the game. We also create pathways for those who want to coach or officiate the game.

The club support young volunteers by supporting them with courses, susch as the FA Playmaker award from age 14 and the FA Referee's course from 14. The club add a financial commitment to help young people get started and offer coaching and officiating opportunities at the club. All Referee's are registered with Dorset FA and the club pay for this provided they commit to refereeing games for SMYFC.

We support all coaches by paying for all the courses and will do this right up to UEFA B. 

We hope we can be a platform to grow the next generation of officials and coaches and give everyone a chance to experience the beautiful game.
